Honestly some of the stupidest shit I've seen is this idiocy going after literal voice actors. I haven't given this much attention because none of the modern cartoon shows and movies in the past 5 years (outside of Coco and a few exceptions) have been worth waatching or even caring about; Loud House, Marvel heroes, SIMPsons and other stuff is garbage anyway. However I feel like a rant right now so whatever:
Voice acting has no racial relevance, I have no problems with black people voicing white characters or women voicing male characters (Tara Strong anyone?) so the reverse also applies, voice talent is what matters. This sensitivity to idpol is woke drama and nothing more.
On the subject of 'Black Face' and racial humor. This can be quite offensive; Nobody sane or in good conscience thinks a joke about "hurr Kikes burn in ovens" is an appropriate joke or "haha black monkey go dance!" is funny, and those are certainly unacceptable jokes. But a reference to cultural features is a different bowl of spaghetti. There are some mediums where mildly offensive or satirical humor has a place. You see Key & Peele and numerous other Black-led shows do humor mocking pretentious white people, and that's fine. I've lived all my life part-taking in Jew jokes as an ethnic Jew because it's not meant to be taken seriously. Anyone who does take it unironically is racist regardless of whether these jokes exist and non-racists who may take it unironically are either kids or immature. In Russia there are entire groups made up of varied ethnicities and nationalities where they may casually make jokes about Kyrgyz and Kazakhs and it's fine because they also mock Russians and Germans and Jews and others because it is understood to be nothing more than a joke that has no grounding in real views. Example: Камызяки who's members are made up of various Tatar and Russian sub-cultures and ethnicities engage in jokes about "that one Uzbek Mother in Law" or "that Drunk Russian Husband of mine" or more, and people take it in stride because jokes can be at the figurative expense of others and they always do it tastefully, without any malice. This is something that the USA and the West in general have no fathoming of anymore. There is no middle ground for these people, either "anything goes" or "anything is racist/sexist/bad" which leaves us with the stale liberalism of Saturday Night Live or /pol/'s "epic maymays". That "The Office" black face? It was a purposeful satire of inappropriate behavior, and its entire point was to state this. This is like removing racism from a depiction of racism because even talking about racism is now racism. If Django Unchained wasn't made with a Black Lead, I would bet money that they'd be "cancelling" it for it's 'racist moments'.
